The Growler Airshow Team is the U.S. Navy’s demonstration unit made up of pilots and aircrew from Electronic Attack Squadron 129 (VAQ-129 “Vikings”) at NAS Whidbey Island, flying the EA-18G Growler — an advanced electronic-warfare variant of the F/A-18 Super Hornet. At air shows across the United States, they fly coordinated two-ship routines that highlight the Growler’s speed, agility, and cutting-edge EW capabilities, and often join “Legacy Flights” alongside historic aircraft to celebrate Naval Aviation heritage.
